Her journey to fame began when she won the national modeling contest called “Model 92” out of 25,000 contestants. Thomas Zeumer, CEO of Metropolitan Models New York, offered her a modeling contract worth $300,000. Klum became the first German model to become a Victoria’s Secret Angel and graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 1998.

Klum’s modeling career soared as she appeared in numerous commercials for brands like McDonald’s, Volkswagen, and H&M. She also worked as a spokesmodel for Dannon.
